Quick one, lots to get done today...
1 - Deleted all public mentions of the email archive, minus a tweet or two from other people I couldn't delete.
Turning it back on. This is for subscribers only. If you share this in the wild, I'll turn it back off.

2 - More updates from Google. Manual actions on big authority sites selling their ability to rank for unrelated terms abound as Google tries to appear impartial.
SEOs knee jerk reaction with way-too-soon analysis.
I won't be joining them.
Just watching and monitoring SERPs.
Same as it ever was.
The Google Propaganda (some people read that as Web Spam) Team ratchets up disinformation campaigns but the one thing they can't hide is the results they actually serve us for queries.
Those are the leverage points for us. Study them, watch for patterns to emerge, then ask why?
Use that why to form a hypothesis, then test it to the best of your ability.
That's how you level up in this game.
Not reading blogs or XEO (me included) nonsense.
3- Speaking of the Propaganda Team, they put a full court press on the whole "disavow bad links to regain rankings" thing, including going so far to refer to it as 'conspiracy theories'.

Dozens of you reading this right now who have proven the opposite with their own sites are shaking your head in disbelief that the head of Google Webspam would lie like that in public...this is the climate now.
Bullshit abounds, tread carefully.
