State Of Links Email Mailbag Responses

Because I'm too busy shitposting link haters on the bird app to get creative.

Diving in...

Regarding the State of Links email where I encouraged you to shift your thinking on how buying links as part of your strategy.

Damn, haven't you made this a lot tougher for yourself? Isn't that going to hurt your sales?

Yes, I have. I'm sure it will.

That's fine though. I'd rather get it all out on the table first.

Nobody else is going to tell you this stuff but I'm in this sector of the internet daily and my pattern recognition game is top notch.

I'd feel like a deceitful asshole if I just ignored that and then tried to manage expectations post sale.

And it's forced us to get better at our job. Not think about the link today but how that link is likely to look in two months.

We've still got over 100 sites that pass all metrics tests with flying colors and show no sign of a downtrend.

Long-time repeat buyers might not be able to get as many good placements as they used to but we're constantly outreaching new sites so I hope to have our quality target pool back north of 400 again shortly.

Been training two new guys on that this month, quite fun to see it from a fresh perspective.

Ultimately, we will continue to have links that move the needle when you need them.

More importantly...

How are you getting the top 10 traffic value? Are you exporting and adding them all up or is there somewhere in Ahrefs that shows this?

And 50 other variations of the same thing.

Rather than respond, I made you Loom.

Kind of brain farted at the end trying to get my point across, what I was trying to say is this will cut your manual checks (unless you're OCD about it like me) down by 95% but some of the ones that come in at like 0.7 or .08 will end up being really good sites for links.

Anything 0.4 or under is almost always trash, I've quit checking those tbh. Not worth the credits burned.

4 or 5+ is fantastic sites for link building purposes, 10+ is just gravy.

That's it for now, to paraphrase The Drinker...go away bro.

Cheers,

Grind
