Link Quality Part 2

Short and sweet today because I have a murderous schedule today.

Should have addressed this yesterday but that was already WAY too many words.

Received a bunch of email responses basically asking some variation of the following:

'Grind, I don't have time to manually determine site quality, aren't there some metrics we can use to speed things up?'

Yeah.

Kind of...

There's a reason our links are expensive.

You're not just paying us for the links we built...

You're paying us to make sure we didn't build you any crappy links.

Caveat: Google devalues links that sell links.

Eventually.

That's why it's SO important to build anchors in a way that future proofs your SEO.

I've covered this topic ad naseum but in the interest of helping you all connect all the dots, I'll do it again in a future email.

Just not tomorrow, big party at my house, part of the schedule insanity today.

Likely no e-mail tomorrow or Sunday, I'll be deleting the noopeners instead.

Anyhoo...Google actively takes down sites that sell links.

So while a link you might get today is quality, in 6 months it might be worthless.

And if you use the wrong anchor text, it WILL be toxic.

But for today...metrics to help you short cut your research.

Trust Flow - a single strong link will give a site an unnaturally high Trust Flow but where you're going to use it is the opposite.

Low (single digit) TF sites have very few valuable links.

Valuable sites = valuable links, re-read the good section of yesterdays email if this isn't resonating.

Domain Rating - Super manipulatable. Never use it as a stand alone metric

I only look at it because I only build links worth tiering and if the DR is too low, the tiers won't pass as much juice through as I want. 40+ is the minimum, 60+ is where I like to exist.

But again, useless if the other metrics don't flesh out.

Keywords Ranking For - Value. Google tells us the value through the SERPS.

Keywords ranking for is the strongest link metric I can find that correlates to rank increases. But refer back to yesterday, bastards abound and they're manipulating this too.

Looking at the financial value of what they're actually ranking for is 1000x better than a number in a spreadsheet.

Traffic - Again, being manipulated to fool you. CTR bots are the devil in the details here, and these bastards love to use them.

Still, everyone in the industry uses 1000 monthly traffic in Ahrefs as the standard.

2500 is our internal quality cutoff but I really want 10,000 plus. 100,000 plus and I'm smiling.

That's it.

Short and sweet.

If that sounds like too much work, go over to https://clients.grindstoneseo.com and buy links that are quality checked for you.

And if you've got a bunch of links already and you're wondering which ones are worth boosting with our Link Boost Only packages, send them over in a reply and I'll get back to you next week with which ones I'd boost if your site was my project.

Cheers,

Grind
